Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026

This policy explains the purchase options available through Chronicle Society, how subscriptions work, and your rights regarding cancellation and withdrawal.

1. Purchase Options

Chronicle Society is currently available as a subscription-only service.

There are no one-off individual issue purchases available at this time.

Monthly Subscription

The Chronicle Society subscription costs:

£10 per month

The subscription price does not include shipping.

A separate shipping charge of £3.69 is added to each monthly subscription order.

This means the total monthly cost is £13.69, unless otherwise stated at checkout.

The £3.69 shipping charge applies to deliveries to the destinations available through our checkout.

2. Automatic Renewal

The Chronicle Society subscription is a recurring monthly subscription.

When you subscribe, you authorise the applicable subscription payment to be taken automatically each month using your chosen payment method.

Your subscription will continue until you cancel it.

The monthly subscription price is £10, with £3.69 shipping charged for each monthly issue.

3. Cancelling Your Subscription

You can cancel your recurring Chronicle Society subscription at any time.

To avoid being charged for your next issue, you should cancel your subscription before your next scheduled payment is taken.

Once a payment has been successfully processed, cancellation will normally prevent future payments but will not automatically cancel or refund the issue for which payment has already been taken.

If you have already been charged for an issue, that issue will normally remain part of your subscription and will be dispatched according to our usual schedule.

This does not affect any statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights you may have under applicable law.

4. EU 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, subject to the applicable consumer protection rules.

The withdrawal period generally begins on the day you, or a person you nominate, receives the physical Chronicle Society issue.

You do not need to provide a reason for exercising your statutory right of withdrawal.

How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

If you wish to withdraw from your purchase, please contact us within the applicable 14-day withdrawal period.

You can contact us using:

Email: chronicle.society.club@gmail.com
Phone: 07448 856602

Please include your name, order details and a clear statement that you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal.

You may use your own wording when contacting us. There is no requirement to use a specific form.

5. Returning an Issue

If you exercise your right of withdrawal, you may be required to return the physical Chronicle Society issue to us.

The issue should be returned in an appropriate condition and packaged securely to prevent damage during transit.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the item.

Please contact us before returning an issue so that we can provide the appropriate return information.

6. Refunds Following Withdrawal

Where you validly exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, we will process any refund due to you in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Where applicable, this may include the original standard delivery charge paid when the order was placed.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned issue or you have provided evidence that it has been sent back, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.

Any refund will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.

7. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

Certain statutory exceptions to the right of withdrawal may apply depending on the circumstances of an order.

Where an exception applies, we will rely only on an applicable legal exception and will not seek to remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Nothing in this policy is intended to restrict or remove any consumer rights provided by applicable law.

8. UK Customers

UK consumer cancellation rights may apply to Chronicle Society purchases depending on the circumstances of the order.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any statutory rights available to UK consumers.

If you are unsure about your rights or wish to cancel an order, please contact us and we will assist you.

9. Shipping

Shipping is charged at a flat rate of:

£3.69 per monthly issue

Chronicle Society issues are dispatched on the 15th of each month.

The £3.69 shipping charge is separate from the £10 monthly subscription price.

10. Changes to Subscription Pricing

We reserve the right to change the price of future subscriptions.

If the subscription price changes, we will provide any notice required by applicable law before the new price applies to an existing recurring subscription.

Any subscription period that has already been paid for will not be retrospectively repriced.
